Biography

Leo Stein was born on March 25, 1861 in Lemberg, Galicia, Austria-Hungary. Leo was a writer, known for The Merry Widow (1934), The Csardas Princess (1934) and The Merry Widow (1925). Leo died on July 28, 1921 in Vienna, Austria.

Not to be confused with American art collector and critic Leo Stein (1872- 1947) [also Gertrude Stein's older brother].
