In 2009, Michael Starobin & Tom Kitt tied for the Tony Award with Martin Koch for Best Orchestrations. Michael and Tom won for "Next to Normal" and Martin won for "Billy Elliot, the Musical". Theirs was the only tie in this category and the tenth of ten ties overall in Tony history.
