Martin Starger was born on May 8, 1932 in Bronx, New York City, New York, USA. He was a producer and writer, known for Nashville (1975), The Muppet Movie (1979) and Mask (1985). He was married to Judith Newburg. He died on May 31, 2024 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Ran ABC in the early 1970s, developing more successful shows like The Six Million Dollar Man (1974) and Happy Days (1974) before joining ITC in 1975.
