Ernie Stanton(1890-1944)

Ernest George Burch, who became known to the stage and athletic world as Ernie Stanton. He was an actor and vaudeville performer from London, England who immigrated when he was 8 years old to the United States. He was the son of performers, Walter Stanton and Tina Corri and also had an older brother, Val Stanton. He and his brother appeared as the team, Val & Ernie Stanton for many years in vaudeville. Ernie was also a successful athlete as a baseball player and a boxer. He was also known as the voice of Walt Disney’s parrot.
