- Received front-page headlines in Norway's two largest newspapers when on Sunday February 29, 2004 she broke her back in a snowboarding accident outside Oslo. She was however expected to make a full recovery, and her boss at the radio station P4 commented: "If I know Silje, the back-injury isn't the worst part about staying in the hospital, it's the lack of video- games." Only 7 weeks later, on April 15, 2004, she returned to hosting the popular TV show "Torsdagsklubben." She had to wear a corset and do the entire show standing up. Whenn he saw her, co-host Thomas Giertsen commented, "It's basically a push-DOWN bra you're wearing. Get saggy breasts in 6 weeks." Her other co-host, Otto Jespersen said he had expected a corset of the more-traditional kind, adding: "Instead, you look like a half-naked hockey goalie.".
