Biography

Connell Spain was born in Melbourne, Florida. He attended Melbourne High School and had dreams of being a professional football player. Mr. Spain earned the title of The Orlando Sentinel's Brevard County Defensive Player of the Year in 1991. He signed with Florida State University in 1992 and was well on his way to achieving his dreams when the Seminoles won their first National Championship in 1993. An ALL- Atlantic Coast Conference selection in 1996, Connell couldn't have been happier about his direction in life. Things continued to move towards Connell's goal of playing professional football and after his senior season he signed as a free agent with the San Diego Chargers. After serving a short stint with the Chargers he continued his football career in the Arena League. Connell played six years in the Arena League and won a championship with Orlando Predators. After several successful years of playing football, his dreams came to a halt. Connell lost his passion in life.Armed with an M.B.A. in Business Management and a B.S. in Criminal Justice, Connell kept busy trying to fight that feeling of failure. Working in the corporate world for fortune 500 companies and still trudging along.

Then in 1999, Connell's life took a dramatic turn when he had the opportunity to play a professional football player in the major motion picture. "Any Given Sunday" directed by Oliver Stone. The film changed Connell's life and direction instantly! Today, at 6-foot-3 and 320 pounds, Connell is finding plenty of work in film and television and has a renewed sense of purpose and passion in life. Continuing to build his resume, training in acting and perfecting his craft, Connell is finding various roles that accentuate his big presence and personality. Appearing in recent projects like, "DUELS", "Dirty Heels", "Room 1103", "STiX" and "The Regiment", Connell has a vast array of possibility in the arts. Recent films can be seen on Lifetime, A&E, Box Office, Netflix and Amazon. Connell is passionate about the Arts and prepares daily for new opportunities to ensure he is prepared for all opportunities that come his way.

Connell is the President of The S.P.A.i.N Foundation (Special People Anointing inner City Neighborhoods) that empowers youth by providing economic awareness, character building and creating leaders for tomorrow. He is passionate about volunteering and brand awareness. Connell has been featured in several news articles, in addition to Live On-Air radio participation. Connell is also the author of a book titled "Overcome Obstacles with Excellence" that will be released in 2017. He is also a Motivational Speaker for companies and organizations. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology from Florida State University and earned an MBA from the University of Phoenix. He is an active member of FSU Alumni Organization. Connell is becoming a global presence and he is a man on the move.
