Biography

Arthur Space was born on October 12, 1908 in New Brunswick, New Jersey, USA. He was an actor, known for The Big Noise (1944), The Bat People (1974) and Terror at Red Wolf Inn (1972). He was married to Mary (Mollie) Campbell. He died on January 13, 1983 in Hollywood, California, USA.

Lean, moustachioed American character actor, most often seen as sheriffs, bankers or doctors. Acted in stock companies before appearing on Broadway in "Three Men on a Horse" and "Awake and Sing". Prolific on television, he is best remembered as Velvet's father Herbert in National Velvet (1960), and as veterinarian Doc Frank Weaver in Lassie (1954).
