Adelina Suvagau

Adelina Suvagau is a Romanian-Canadian Director and Producer with over 30 years of experience in film, television, and documentary production. She immigrated to Vancouver, Canada, in 1995, with her husband and daughter Sonia, and in 1998, founded Sonia Productions Inc. Adelina has produced a wide range of projects, including four documentaries, two documentary tv series, two dramatic shorts, a stage play, three feature films, and over 1,000 episodes of Rompost TV, a Romanian television show still airing on OMNI Television-Rogers. Adelina's educational background is diverse, specializing in media as a graduate of BCIT and journalism through the BBC School in London, UK. She also holds a bachelor's degree in business and economics, further complementing her expertise in production and management. In addition to her professional work, Adelina has contributed to the film community through her volunteer roles as president of Cineworks and as the professional development director for Documentary organization of Canada BC chapter She is also a member of the Canadian Academy of Film and Television, continuing to make a significant impact in the industry and the Vice-president of BC Romanian Canadian Chamber of Commerce.
