Geneviève Sorya was born on June 23, 1912 in Paris, France. She was an actress, known for The End of the Day (1939), Qu'est-ce qui fait courir David? (1982) and Marius et Olive à Paris (1935). She was married to Henry Murray. She died on March 23, 2008 in Paris, France.

In 1981 she appeared in the film What Puts David with her daughter Anouk Aimée.

Sorya studied at the Conservatory of Dramatic Art in Paris.

She was also known as the mother of actress.
