Biography

Olga Solbelli was an Italian actress of theatre, cinema and photo novels.

In her later years she returned occasionally to the theatre and retired to the "Lyda Borelli" retirement home for artists in Bologna where she died in 1976 .

Noteworthy is her character in Luigi Chiarini 's 1942 film "Via delle Cinque Lune", where she portrays the wicked and cynical loan shark, characterising her with that touch of sensuality that would earn her no small amount of self-righteous criticism in Italy, which was then at war.

In 1945 he took part in the film Senza Famiglia shot in Venice in the Cinevillaggio studios, established by the Italian Social Republic.

In the late 1950s she began working as a character actress in photo novels for the magazines Sogno , Luna Park and Cine Illustrato .
