Geneviève Couzain (known professionally as Silvia Solar) was a French actress who became a prolific figure in Spanish cinema. Solar was born Geneviève Couzain in Paris and achieved early recognition when Couzain won the title of "Miss France" at age 16. This early success led to her entry into the film industry when producer and director Henri Diamant-Berger cast Solar in her first film role.

Her career spanned from the late 1950s through the early 1990s, starring in dozens of comedies, romances, drama, crime and spy thrillers as well as horror films. Solar established herself as a versatile performer across multiple genres, with particular prominence in European exploitation cinema. She played a main role in the Italian horror film Eyeball in 1975, which became one of her most recognized performances in the horror genre. Among her notable spy thriller appearances were roles in films such as "Danger!! Death Ray" (1967) and "Agente Sigma 3 - Missione Goldwather" (1967), which showcased her range in the popular Eurospy film movement of the 1960s.

The majority of her appearances were in the 1960s and 1970s, during which she worked extensively in Spanish productions while maintaining her French identity. Solar was married to actor and former bullfighter Rogelio Madrid, connecting her personally to the Spanish entertainment industry where much of her later career flourished.

Solar's extensive filmography across multiple European film industries demonstrates her adaptability as a performer and her significant contribution to the international B-movie and exploitation cinema scenes of the mid-to-late 20th century.
