Victor Sobchak

  • Victor is a Russian actor and director who trained at the Leningrad Institute of Culture and the Moscow Academy of Performing Arts. He now runs his own theatre company in the UK.

    Victor came to London in 1995 and has made numerous TV and theatre appearances. He has directed and acted in over 80 theatre productions, including Homecoming by Pinter, Endgame by Beckett, Exit the King by Ionesca, In Camera by Sartre, and Lolita by Nabokov.

    He has also appeared in a number of films: The Jackal (Doctor), The Knock (Russian Captain), Man Who Cried (Man at the port), Russian Albion (Russian Mafia Boss), and Topsy Turvy (Rubinstain).

    His voice-over work includes feature films such as The World Is Not Enough, The Beautician & The Beast, Sophie's World, and Enemy at the Gates. He has also recorded documentaries for BBC2 and Discovery Channel.
