Admitted to the world renowned Elma Lewis School of Fine Arts in Roxbury, Massachusetts at age eight is the training site where "Tamra" solidified her plethora of A-1 talents. Extremely active as a youth and blessed with a level of beauty rarely seen but always highly coveted is what led to her beating out thousands of teenage hopefuls vying to be the lead in New Edition's monstrous hit video entitled 'Candy Girl". So drop dead gorgeous as a teen "Tamra" was chosen to adorn the cover of New Edition's UK album that contained the #1 single "Candy Girl". The consummate all around performer "Tamra" started singing at the tender age of six, acting at eight, and modeling at 13 before signing and recording her first major released album "Boy Crazy" on Atlantic Records as lead of the teen girl group "Picture Perfect".
