Graduated from Santa Monica Community College in 2020 with an Associates Degree in Humanities. It took him 16 years to finish college.
Brother of actor Gregory Smith.
His father is English-born (from London) and his mother is American-born (from California). Douglas is mainly of English and Ashkenazi Jewish descent, with small amounts of Dutch, German, Swedish, and Norwegian, ancestry.
In 2020 he released a solo LP under the name The Julias.
Father produced low budget films in Canada while he was growing up.
Born in Toronto, to British-born producer Maurice Smith and California-born actress Terrea Smith (née Oster).
Has another brother, Andrew, and a sister, Samantha.
