- A legend of Czech pop music during the 1960s, Jirí Slitr was a composer (noted for blending traditional jazz elements into early rock), singer, pianist, actor, painter and cartoonist. He co-founded the Semafor Theatre in Prague with his good friend and duo-partner Jiří Suchý on October 30, 1959. Slitr is considered one of the most important figures in Czech post-war music.
