The film business became aware of her and she was engaged for several musical comedies. She made her film debut already in 1928 with "Das Mädel aus der Hödrichsmühle" .

She got her singing education directly from her father who also took her along to his tours.

She continued her singing career after the war and went on tour around the world. At the same time she also continued her film career.

Margaret Slezak sang in a choir when she was a child, beside it she also played several instruments.

The actress and singer Margarete Slezak was born into an artistic family - her father was the well-known opera singer Leo Slezak, her brother the actor Walter Slezak.

She began her professional career in 1930 at the German Staatsoper in Berlin and soon became a popular opera singer.
