- Skjefstad was best known as a operetta and comedy actor. He was born in Moss, Østfold, Norway in 1892, as son of commercial agent Jørgen Hasleff Skjefstad and Jørgine Jørgensen. (Both died 1924)
Actor and business manager at Qværnstrøms Theater Company, then for his own tour company. Later an actor at various Oslo theaters from around 1920.
He starred in three silent films, which unfortunately are all considered lost. Married to stage actress Erika Olsen, (later Bjordam) their marriage dissolved before 1930. Skjefstad died in Oslo 1946, leaving behind his fiancee, and his brother Trygve.
