- José Rubens Siqueira was born on October 20, 1945 in Sorocaba, São Paulo, Brazil. He was a writer and director, known for Amor e Medo (1974), O Pecado de Marta (1971) and Em Cada Coração um Punhal (1970). He died on February 17, 2025 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
- Jose Rubens Siqueira was a Brazilian author, translator, theater director, set designer and costume designer. He gained prominence in São Paulo theater from the 1980s onwards.
- In 2001, he adapted for the stage the monumental play Os Lusíadas, directed by Iacov Hillel and produced by Ruth Escobar.
