- Georges Sion was born on December 7, 1913 in Binche, Belgium. He was a writer, known for De reiziger van Forceloup (1955), De koffer van Pamela (1981) and Katholieke universiteit te Leuven (1960). He died on April 13, 2001 in Brussels, Belgium.
- Sion studied law in Louvain, during which time he tried his hand at journalism.
- He was member of the Royal Academy of French Language and Literature of Belgium .
- He adapted many foreign plays, notably Antony and Cleopatra or A Midsummer Night's Dream by Shakespeare, or contemporary authors, Robert Bolt with A Man for All Seasons.
