Biography

Anni Sinnemäki is a Finnish politician and poet. She has been a prominent member of the Green Party and has held various significant positions in Finnish politics. In addition to her political career, Sinnemäki is known for her contributions to Finnish music and literature, including lyrics to the band Ultra Bra. Throughout her career, Sinnemäki has been an advocate for sustainable urban development, environmental issues, and social equality.

Sinnemäki was first elected to the Finnish Parliament in 1999 and served until 2015. Beyond her parliamentary work, Sinnemäki has been actively involved in Helsinki's municipal politics. She has been a member of the Helsinki City Council since 2004. In 2015, she was appointed Deputy Mayor of Helsinki, responsible for city planning and real estate, and since 2017, she has served as the Deputy Mayor for Urban Environment.
