When his acting career came to an end, teen-aged Sinclair signed up for service in WWII. After the war, he turned to film editing, working for several decades with Roger Corman and others on low budget features.

After a decades-long career as both a child actor and later a film editor, Sinclair wound up at the Motion Picture Country Home (a film industry charitable facility for indigent actors and movie makers) where he died at the age of 68.
