In 1974-1976, he studied at the Department of Directing of the Folk Theater of the Kuibyshev State Institute of Culture (now the Samara State Institute of Culture).
In 1976, he entered the acting faculty of the Theater School named after B. V. Shchukin (now - Theater Institute named after Boris Shchukin at the State Academic Theater named after Evgenia Vakhtangov) to which he graduated in 1980.
