Antoine Simkine is a French film producer based in Paris and the founder of Les Films d’Antoine, an independent production company dedicated to auteur-driven films with international reach.
His productions include Bikechess (dir. Assel Aushakimova), which won Best International Feature at the Tribeca Film Festival, and Summer (dir. Alanté Kavaïté), which premiered as the opening film at the Sundance Film Festival and received the Directing Award. He has developed and produced films across Europe and beyond, working closely with distinctive filmmakers and building projects designed to circulate internationally.
Before focusing on production, Simkine began his career in visual effects and was co-founder and CEO of the Paris-based company Duboi (1990-2002). He worked as a visual effects executive on major international productions, an experience that continues to inform his approach to filmmaking, particularly in terms of visual storytelling and production workflows.
Alongside his producing activities, he has been actively involved in the European film industry. He served as President of ACE Producers from 2018 to 2024, leading one of Europe’s most prominent networks of independent producers and contributing to the development of international co-production strategies and talent development across the continent.
Simkine’s work as a producer is characterised by a strong commitment to director-driven cinema, combining artistic ambition with an understanding of international financing and distribution. He regularly collaborates with European partners and institutions, and his films are often associated with major international festivals.
