Carlo Simi was born on 7 November 1924 in Viareggio, Tuscany, Italy. He was a costume designer and production designer, known for Once Upon a Time in America (1984), For a Few Dollars More (1965) and Django (1966). He died on 26 November 2000 in Rome, Lazio, Italy.

In addition to designing sets and costumes for motion pictures, he also designed more permanent structures. He designed a villa for producer Alberto Grimaldi. It would later become the final home for Sergio Leone.

Uncle of actress <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/name/nm0595771/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">Cristina Moglia</a>.

Simi played a cameo in &quot;For a Few Dollars More&quot;, for which he also served as Production Designer.
