Biography

Ziggy (Greg) Sigurdson owns Ziggy VFX Corp., is a DGC VFX Supervisor and longtime VFX Producer based in Toronto, Canada with almost 30 years of production experience. Early on in his career, he worked primarily as a DGC Assistant Director, then as on set VFX coordinator/wrangler and progressed to a VFX Producer and VFX Supervisor. In 2016, Ziggy joined Mr X as lead on set wrangler and as an additional VFX Supervisor on the Academy Award-winning best picture, The Shape of Water, working with overall VFX Supervisor Dennis Berardi. He produced a variety of projects during his time at Mr X including as VFX Producer for Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, directed by André Øvredal. Starting in 2020 and through the pandemic, Ziggy worked with Searchlight Studios as the production side VFX Producer and as an additional on-set VFX Supervisor for Academy Award-nominated Nightmare Alley directed by Guillermo del Toro. Most recently, Ziggy was the production side VFX Supervisor of the feature Desert Warrior, directed by Rupert Wyatt. Filmed on location in Saudi Arabia, it tells an epic story of tribes and armies.
