  • As a director of photography, Matt Siegel designs, lights, and composes for feature films, commercials, documentaries, SVOD, and episodic television.

    Matt's production background centers on commercials, branding, and communications. Based out of Los Angeles and Singapore, his company Imageworks-LA runs day and night, producing and filming spots for international brands SONY, Toyota, Ford, Audi, MasterCard, Microsoft, Nike, Adidas, and Coca-Cola.

    Matt and his team have created wildly popular viral marketing campaigns with marquee clients, including Hasbro, Reebok, and Google.

    He has won international recognition for his spot work, including CLIO, ADDY, TELE, Golden Lion, and ACE awards.

    In addition to commercial production, Matt has performed tours of duty as a 2nd Unit DP and Camera Operator on the WB series Everwood, the CBS drama Joan of Arcadia, the Jerry Bruckheimer series Just Legal, the CBS series The Mentalist, the NBC series Council of Dads, and the HULU series Castle Rock.

    Not afraid to run and gun, his credit list is spiced up by documentary filming with Discovery Network, Nat Geo, and ABC/ESPN. The documentary feature Curious Worlds premiered at The Smithsonian Museum of American Art, while the feature documentary on Richard Estes also screens at The Smithsonian and with the national retrospective tour of Mr. Estes' work.

    Matt balances his professional film career by conducting camera, lighting, and production workshops around the world. He demonstrates visual story techniques and new technology for ARRI, Blackmagic Design, Canon, Panasonic, and SONY. As a founder and arts professor, Matt lent his professional expertise to New York University's Tisch School of the Arts-Asia.

    Matt enthusiastically teamed with Google's Studio G and Google X in Mountain View, CA., assisting in cutting edge R&D on groundbreaking projects like the WAYMO driver-less car and Google Glass along with a wide range of commercial, marketing, and communications applications.
