Born in Rajasthan, Shravan Rathod came from a distinguished musical family. His father, Pandit Chaturbhuj Rathod, was a celebrated classical musician in the Dhrupad tradition. The duo achieved their major breakthrough with Aashiqui (1990), which became one of the most successful and memorable soundtracks in Hindi cinema. The success of Aashiqui established Nadeem-Shravan among the leading music directors of Bollywood and marked the beginning of a highly successful period in their career.
