- Mitzi Shore was born on July 25, 1930 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA. She was a writer and producer, known for Girls of the Comedy Store (1985), Pauly Shore Is Dead (2003) and On Location: The Comedy Store's 11th Anniversary Show (1983). She was married to Sammy Shore. She died on April 11, 2018 in West Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA.

- She studied art at the University of Wisconsin, but left to marry comedian Sammy Shore, whom she met at a summer resort where they both worked. Sammy founded the Comedy Store in 1972 with fellow comic Rudy DeLuca. When the Shores divorced, Sammy gave Mitzi the club as a way to lower his alimony payments.
- While on her way to the hospital to give birth to Pauly Shore, she was yet undecided on a name for her child. She passed the Paulee Body shop and a Montgomery Ward, and that's how Pauly got his name.
- She long battled Parkinson's disease in her later years and had been in hospice care before her death.
