Aleksandr Shlepyanov was born on 9 September 1933 in Moscow, Russia. He was a writer, known for Myortvyy sezon (1968), Komitet 19-ti (1972) and Vid na zhitelstvo (1972). He died on 19 December 2016 in London, England, UK.

An expert on, and collector of, modern Russian art. He emigrated to England after the fall of the Soviet Union, and lived in London thereafter.
