Maggie Unsworth was born in 1924 in Wandsworth, London, England, UK. She is known for Great Expectations (1946), Brief Encounter (1945) and His Majesty O'Keefe (1954). She was married to Philip Shipway, ? Sibley and Geoffrey Unsworth. She died on July 9, 2009 in the UK.

Her partner from around 1960, until his death in 1978, was famed cinematographer Geoffrey Unsworth. Although many sources claim they were married, no record of such a marriage has been found. A record of a Margaret Edna Shipway changing her name to Unsworth by deed poll in 1961 has been found, which does indeed suggest they were never legally married.

Began as a script/continuity supervisor in the early 1940s, most notably working for David Lean.
