- Neil Shicoff was born on June 2, 1949 in Brooklyn, New York, USA. He is an actor, known for Quartet (2012), The Metropolitan Opera Presents (1977) and Les contes d'Hoffmann - I racconti di Hoffmann (1995).
- He is an honorary lifetime member of the Vienna State Opera, and was awarded the title of Kammersänger by the theater.
- He is an operatic tenor. He studied with his father, the renowned cantor Sidney Shicoff, as well as at The Juilliard School. He made his debut in Cincinnati as Ernani in 1975.
- In 2015, St. Petersburg's Mikhailovsky Theatre appointed him as the company's chief of opera. The Mikhailovsky is St. Petersburg's second largest opera company, after the Mariinsky.
