Shweta Shetty
Shweta was born in the Shetty household on June 20, 1969 in India.

Dusky, lissome and husky, She started modeling and singing at the age of 17, after being discovered by a music producer. Her active involvement in this career caused considerable rift on the home-front, so much so that her dad not only stopped speaking but also broke off all contact and financial support for her.

Undettered by this, Shweta continued to forge ahead, releasing her very first album 'Johnny Joker' in 1993, followed by 'Deewane To Deewane Hain' in 1998. Both the albums were well received and paved her way to Bollywood, and also on the Indian Pop Sing, as well as television appearances on MTV. Trained in Carnatic music, she was amongst the first to come forward with pop music along with Sharon Prabhakar and Alisha Chinai. Her songs in 'Rangeela' and 'Roja' became chart-busters.

In June 1996 she met Clemens Brandt at a party in Cannes, both got married in her parents' flat in Bombay in April, 1997. and subsequently re-located to Hamburg. After her marriage, she has managed to patch-up all differences with her dad, who is now very proud of her. She prefers the quiet life unobtrusive life in Hamburg, rather than be thronged and watched by her fans and the media in India.

She has also released another album 'Saajna' in 2003, which are based on Indian music tunes. She has also toured with Sarah Brightman in 2004 and produced a song with 'Jam & Spoon' during 2004.
