- Jarrett is a Director, Producer and Writer who was born in Toronto, Canada. Early on, Jarrett faced a life-altering obstacle, one that changed his life forever. Overcoming it led to a view on life that influences his directing even today. Themes of joy, energy and positivity run through his work - a celebration of life, even when it's not joyous.
Starting out as a live studio director, Jarrett sweated through 4000+ hours of live multi-cam and packaged television, gaining invaluable skills and experience, and eventually a reputation for staying calm while live, when things inevitably went sideways.
Directing for SyFy, IDW Entertainment, TVOKids, KidsCBC, and Discovery Kids exposed Jarrett to a wider range of genres, including comedy, reality, drama, interactive / digital, and kids TV. Jarrett directed thirteen half hours of Canadian Geographic for Kids in National Parks across Canada; the test pilot for a web series called Backpackers in Barcelona, that was acquired by The CW and rebooted as a TV series; and the award-winning live-action / motion comic State of Syn, featuring cast from Stargate and Firefly.
