- The daughter of director Jean Choux, she started her career in his films as Marie France. According to a March 17, 1930 article in L'intransigeant, she changed her name to Vera Sherbane in order to avoid confusion with Claude France. On February 22, 1932, Comoedia reveals that she had a serious automobile accident which damaged her face, after which she apparently disappeared from the screen.
