- Jim Sheppard was born in 1937. He was an actor, known for Comes a Horseman (1978), The Master Gunfighter (1975) and The Wild and the Innocent (1959). He died on August 18, 1977 in Canon City, Colorado, USA.
- Killed while filming a scene in Comes a Horseman (1978). The horse that was dragging him veered from its course and caused him to hit his head on a fencepost. The scene is in the movie but is edited so that the fatal accident is not seen.
