Biography

Tom is an Emmy-winning Executive Producer and showrunner who was one of the original, pioneering producers on the hit CBS series "Survivor." He has worked on series for ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, TLC, Discovery, MTV and Facebook Watch. Tom received an MFA from the USC School of Cinema-Television and a BFA from The Ohio State University. Early in his career, he produced and direct numerous segments for "America's Most Wanted" on Fox Television. He then directed episodes of the Fox Kid's series "Beetleborgs" before moving into reality television with "The Eco Challenge: British Columbia" for Discovery. He went onto the first season of "Survivor," where he won a prime-time Emmy Award and remained with the show for eight years, becoming its Executive Producer/showrunner and receiving an additional 5 Emmy nominations. As an EP/showrunner, he helped develop and launch NBC's "The Baby Borrowers" and "Love in the Wild" starring Jenny McCarthy. He Executive Produced and launched ABC's "Dating in the Dark," Fox's "Coupled," and "Relationshipped" for Facebook Watch. Tom specializes in startup series, having developed series and pilots for CBS, NBC, Endemol, ITV, Freemantle, Center Drive Media, Critical Content, and Kapital Entertainment. He has reality and scripted projects in development with CBS Studios and A24.
