Joshua Shelley was born on January 27, 1920 in New York City, New York, USA. He was an actor and director, known for All the President's Men (1976), The Front Page (1974) and The Front (1976). He was married to Molly McCarthy. He died on February 16, 1990 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Blacklisted by the studios as a result of the House Un-American Committee's (HUAC) investigation of communist subversion in Hollywood.
