Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher talked Roger Smith into asking Victoria to marry him.
Discovered by Bob Hope in her native Sydney while she was a model.
Made her film debut in her home country using her real name, Jeanette Elphick, in "The Phantom Stockman", a.k.a. "Return of the Plainsman" (1953).
Children by Roger Smith: daughter Tracey (born 3 July 1957), son Jordan (born 4 October 1958) and son Dallas (born 23 December 1961).
26 July 1955: Put under contract to Columbia Studios.
Won Modern Screen's 'most promising actress' award in 1956.
