He was asked to reprise his role as Sladden from
Quatermass and the Pit (1958) in the film adaptation
Five Million Years to Earth (1967). However, he was unable to do so due to a prior commitment.
Duncan Lamont, who previously played Victor Carroon in
The Quatermass Experiment (1953), was cast instead.
