Eric Shaw is an Emmy Award-winning television writer and a graduate of Columbia University, where he earned a B.A. He began his animation career as a staff writer on Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants (Seasons 4-6), writing over forty 11-minute episodes. Shaw later served as story editor and co-producer on Disney Junior’s Emmy-nominated Muppet Babies, where he developed and ran the writing for the series’ first two seasons, helping make it the network’s top-performing new show at the time. He won an Emmy for Outstanding Writing in Animation as head writer of PBS’s acclaimed WordGirl. Shaw is a native of Jericho, New York and father to Ethan, Jake and Brooklyn.
