- An accomplished tennis player, he was ranked in the top 20 in Southern California in the Boys' 18's and played on the Cal Men's Tennis Team.
- Graduated from the American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) MFA Program.

- Spent his early childhood living on the island of Kwajalein in the Marshall Islands from ages two to four.
