- Shanker is an Indian actor primarily known for his work in Malayalam cinema. He made his debut in 1980 with the Tamil film "Oru Thalai Raagam" which ran in theaters for 365 days. Initially recognized for his roles as a romantic hero, he quickly established himself as a bankable actor in Malayalam films and remained active until the mid-1980s. Later in his career, Shanker transitioned to supporting roles and, from the early 1990s onward, made occasional film appearances. He has also ventured into directing while continuing to take sporadic acting assignments.
