- Ntozake Shange was born on October 18, 1948 in Trenton, New Jersey, USA. She was a writer and actress, known for Standing in the Shadows of Motown (2002), Whitewash (1994) and American Playhouse (1980). She was married to David Murray and McArthur Binion. She died on October 27, 2018 in Bowie, Maryland, USA.
