Eldon Shamblin was born on April 24, 1916 in Weatherford, Oklahoma, USA. He was an actor, known for Take Me Back to Oklahoma (1940), The Life and Times (1995) and Solo Flight: The Genius of Charlie Christian (1992). He died on August 5, 1998 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA.

Jazz/swing guitarist.

Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (under the category Early Influence) in 1999 (as a member of Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys).
