Gene Shacove was born on 15 February 1929 in the USA. He was an actor, known for The Manchurian Candidate (1962), Shampoo (1975) and Big Bad Mama (1974). He was married to Elizabeth W Logue, Lana Kay Rosenberg, Celeste Shane and Barrie Chase. He died on 5 September 2001 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

The inspiration for the lead character, George Roundy, in <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/title/tt0073692/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">Shampoo (1975)</a>.
