Biography

Shabnam was born on August 17, 1946 in Dacca, Bengal Presidency, British India [now in Dhaka, Bangladesh]. She is an actress, known for Lady Commando (1989), Andaleeb (1969) and Ammajan (1999). She was previously married to Robin Ghosh.

Shabnam was spotted by Harindernath Chattopadhyaya. He saw her thru the window of an office. He promptly introduced her to Hrishikesh Mukherjee. He in turn introduced her to Hemant Kumar who was in search of a new actress. He launched her in Faraar (1965).

Filmography of Bangladeshi actress "Shabnam" and Bollywood actress "Shabnam" who was launched in 1965, is mixed up together. This is due to both having the same name.

Born February 26, 1945 in Hyderabad, India. She had a Hindu father and Muslim mother. She was in medical studies becoming a doctor.
