Biography

Gloria Sevilla was born on January 31, 1932 in the Philippines. She was an actress and producer, known for Madugong paghihiganti (1963), Badlis sa kinabuhi (1969) and Gimingaw ako (1973). She was married to Amado Cortez and Mat Ranillo Jr.. She died on April 16, 2022 in Oakland, California, USA.

Got into movie after impressing producer of Visayan Films [ph] with her declamation of "Vegeance is not ours, it's God."

Earned the nickname Queen of Visayan Movieland for having starred in most of the the Visayan-made movies in the Philippines in the 50s and 60s.
