Immigrated with her family from South Africa to the US in 1935 and settled in Hollywood. Her siblings Raymond Severn, Ernest Severn, Clifford Severn, Christopher Severn, Winston Severn, William Severn, and Yvonne Severn all appeared in films as child/adolescent actors.
