Met his ex-wife at the Rodeo Bar in New York. He was a bartender and she was the assistant manager. Even after getting steady acting roles, he kept bartending for nearly 20 years to help pay the bills.

Played two different characters in Oz (1997). Both were killed off in their first appearance.

Father's name is Frank Serpico but is not the same man who was the inspiration for the Al Pacino film, Serpico (1973).

Is frequently mistaken for 80s actor Anthony Michael Hall, notably known for Weird Science and The Breakfast Club.

Relates a lot of his Army Wives (2007) character to that of his father and growing up as an army brat. Terry's father was a career army officer of 26 years reaching the rank of a full bird Colonel, Terry's character on the show is just one rank lower.
