Biography

Koreya Senda was born on September 15, 1904 in Kanagawa, Japan. He was an actor and producer, known for Tora! Tora! Tora! (1970), The H-Man (1958) and Huang pu jiang: Senyû no uta (1939). He was married to Teruko Kishi. He died on December 21, 1994.

His unique stage name came from the time he was a youngster and was teased by friends who said his face looked more Korean than Japanese. The family name was derived from his home in Sendagawa.

He was a noted acting teacher with the Actor's Theatre.

He is the uncle of American born actor Jerry Ito.

He is the grandfather of Anna Nakagawa.
